Lisbon Sightseeing – Walking Tour

About this tour

Welcome to the Walking Tour of Lisbon! Our journey starts at Praça dos Restauradores, where you can admire the monument that celebrates the end of Spanish occupation in Portugal. We will continue along Rua do Coliseu towards Rossio Square, one of the most iconic squares in the city.
In Praça do Rossio, we will try a Ginjinha, a typical Lisbon drink, and visit the Church of São Domingos, known for being the place where the famous massacre of 1506 took place.
The walk continues through Praça da Figueira, where you can appreciate the amazing architecture of the downtown area. Then, we’ll use one of the city’s free elevators to reach São Jorge Castle, which offers an incredible view of the city.
Then we continue through the picturesque neighborhood of Alfama, with its narrow alleys and colorful houses, visiting some of its most spectacular viewpoints along the way, such as the Miradouro das Portas do Sol.
Continuing our walking tour, we head to the Lisbon Cathedral, an important local landmark. From there, we’ll explore the Roman Theater, a hidden historical treasure in the city.
Finally, we will end our walk in Praça do Comércio, one of the largest squares in Europe and one of the most iconic postcards of the city.
