Since 2007 LEFFEST, Lisbon & Sintra Film Festival, has been affirming itself as one of the largest cultural events in Portugal. This will be its 13th edition and will take place from November 15 to 24, 2019 and it is preparing to bring together what is best done in the world of 7th art, but not only.

The Festival bets on the interconnection of diverse cultural proposals – from cinema to literature, through music and the fine arts – and affirms itself as a favorable place for reflection and discussion of the themes that mark the present day.

More than just a film show, LEFFEST wants to give the viewer the opportunity to confront ideas, have an active voice, participating in the life experiences and reflections of filmmakers, thinkers and artists. Experiences and reflection that LEFFEST proposes on the big screen – through a diversified programming that covers the best established and emerging film productions – and live, in the various artistic manifestations, masterclasses, debates and symposiums scheduled for each edition.

In 2019, LEFFEST will count, as from its first edition, with the presence of international stars – famous names in the current panorama of cinema, arts, literature, music, thought – who will share their knowledge and experiences with the world. through conferences, masterclasses, workshops, performances, debates, exhibitions and shows.
