The EDP Lisbon Marathon is already considered one of the most beautiful marathons in the world by international entities such as Forbes, Huffington Post and American Express, who have chosen the Lisbon Marathon as an event not to be missed.
The event begins in Cascais and has as its goal the Praça do Comércio, the whole course along the seashore and river, offering the athletes a dazzling landscape throughout the course.
On October 20, at 8:00 am EDP Lisbon Marathon starts in Lisbon, from the Manuel Possolo Racecourse in Cascais, ending at Praça do Comercio in Lisbon, with a distance of 42 km. At 10:30 is the match of the Luso Half Marathon, with a goal equal to that of the Marathon, and the start of the EDP Mini Marathon of Portugal having this, unlike the others, its goal in the Alameda of the Oceans.

THE ROUTE

The EDP Lisbon Marathon starts at Av. Da República in Cascais, next to the Manuel Possolo Racecourse, the race follows in the direction of Guincho, making a reversal of direction next to the Cabo Raso Lighthouse (between the 7th and 8th light pole counting from the Lighthouse) . Arriving again to Cascais, the route continues through Av. Rei Humberto II of Italy, Av. Dom Carlos, Alameda Combatentes Grande Guerra, until entering Marginal Avenue, direction Cascais-Lisbon.
In Oeiras (Caxias), the route continues towards Lisbon, entering to the right for the Fort of São Bruno, Bay of Dolphins making the whole wall of Caxias, parallel to the beach, until the end of it. At the end of the wall, the route continues on the left to Av. Ferreira Godinho, until the crossing of Cruz Quebrada, where you turn right and enter Marginal Avenue again towards Lisbon.
At the end of Av. Marginal, follow Av. Da India, Av. 24 de Julho, Av. Ribeira das Naus until Praça do Comércio where you enter in a counter-hand to Rua Áurea (Rua do Ouro), then turn to right to Rua do Comércio and enter Rua Augusta, which continues until arriving at Praça do Comércio, past the Augusta Street Arch.

KIT PARTICIPATION

Participation kits for the EDP Lisbon Marathon will be delivered on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, on the 17th, 18th and 19th of October, from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm at SportExpo, Altice Arena Pavilion, Sala Tejo, at the Rossio dos Olivais, Lot 2.13.10ª 1990-2331 Lisboa.
To raise the number, you must present the proof of registration that was sent by e-mail. The riders can be picked up by third parties, provided that the proof of registration is presented and a copy of an identification document of the enrolled participant.
The “participation kit” in the competition will consist of: T-Shirt Technique, A dorsal with chip, A bag, Medal.

GETTING STARTED

To access the EDP Lisbon Marathon, duly registered participants can use the transport partners of the event free of charge. Please note: there will be a special train from C. do Sodré at 06:15.
In order to benefit from the free transport, the participants must present the official race number. The transportation provided by the organization are: Metropolitano de Lisboa, Buses da Carris, CP Lisboa trains on the Sintra, Cascais, Azambuja and Sado lines and the TST – Transportes Sul do Tejo.
