The scenic route stretches across 36 kilometers of pure visual poetry between the stations of Peso da Régua and Tua. Although current line restrictions require the train to be pulled by a vintage 1960s diesel locomotive instead of the traditional steam machine, the historic soul of the journey remains completely untouched.
