Day 01 : Arrival to Lisbon Welcome to Portugal! Upon arrival at Lisbon International Airport you will get a warm welcome from Go2Lisbon-Tours. Our driver will meet you and will accompany you from airport to the hotel for check-in process. There you will be given all the tour related documents along with a brief discussion about the tour. You can then free time in Lisbon, relax and overnight stay in hotel.
Day 02 : Lisbon and Sintra Full Day Private Sightseeing Tour Start your sightseeing excursion with a hotel pick-up and board an air-conditioned vehicle destined for Lisbon’s top sights. First, stop at Eduardo VII Park, the largest park in central Lisbon. It was baptized in 1903 in honor of Great Britain’s King Edward VII, who had visited Lisbon to reaffirm the bonds of friendship between the 2 countries. Make your way to Róssio and Avenue da Liberdade, and then next stop is Lisbon Cathedral (Sé de Lisboa), a haunting 12th century structure reminiscent of Notre Dame in Paris. Receive a historical overview of the city from your guide before absorbing sweeping city vistas from a viewpoint. Next, travel through the medieval streets of Alfama — Lisbon’s oldest district — and delve into the vibrant atmosphere of the downtown. Next, head to Belem and see Jeronimos Monastery, Belem Tower and the Monument of Discoveries. Have a quick break at the most famous pastry shop in Portugal, Pasteis de Belem, founded in 1834 for a local pastry. Stop at the famous factory of the Pastel de Belém, also known as Pastel de Nata. You will have time to taste this delicious pastry with cinnamon and traditional Portuguese coffee. Then, settle into your private car and venture to Cascais, a postcard-perfect beach town north of Lisbon. Make the most of dramatic photo opportunities by snapping pictures from the enchanting grotto at Hell’s Mouth (Boca do Inferno) and the sheer cliffs of Cape Roca (Cabo da Roca). Finally, go to Sintra and see the former summer residence of the country’s monarchy and tour the famous Pena Palace. Admire stunning views and beautiful scenery. Enjoy a drive through Pena Natural Park and at the top of the mountain, visit Pena Palace. After poking around the palace, enjoy some free time to wander around Sintra at your leisure. When you've had your fill of sights, your guide will drop you back off at your hotel where you can relax and enjoy the evening.
Day 03 : Private Day Tour of Arrábida with Wine Tasting Our next destination in the tour is Arrabida. Following a pick-up from your hotel, turn south to Palmela, passing by longest bridge in Europe - Vasco da Gama Bridge. Then drive to highest hill where Palmela Castle is situated. Get some photos from a beautiful view of the lands and ocean around. After exploring 12 Century Castle, drive west to reach the heights of natural park, with stunning and breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. Take spectacular photos from the highest point of Arrabida Natural Park (500m. peak). Descending the road reach the fisherman village Sesimbra where you’ll have free time for an traditional Portuguese lunch. Feel the sand of the Sesimbra beach. After lunch you going to visit a wine cellar, producing wines since 1834. You'll get to know the essence of a wine production family with almost 200 years of history, where the values passed down from generation to generation are kept alive while allowing the company to project itself into the 21st century. Enjoy an unparalleled wine and gastronomic tasting experience. Wine degustation included. At the end of the tour arrive at statue of Christ the King, (Cristo-Rei) to see the view of Lisbon from a different angle. Returning to Lisbon, by the 25 April bridge enjoy the great view over the city. After tour relax and enjoy the evening at your hotel.
Day 04 : Tomar Templar Full Day Private Tour You will be met at your hotel to begin your next day trip. Head north to visit the largest tourist caves in Portugal. Then turn East to head for your next point - discover Tomar, a 12th-century Templar town featuring a castle and the Convent of Christ – the latter was selected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and served as the Portuguese headquarters of the Knights Templar. Visit the historic center of Tomar, including the Church of Santa Maria do Olival, which served as a 12th-century funerary pantheon of the Knights Templar, and the 16th-century Church of São João Baptista. Afterwards it is time for lunch, based on your preference, but it is recommended that you lunch in Medieval Tavern. This is the best way to taste Portuguese gastronomy and feel like real Knight of Templar. After lunch it is time to visit one more castle, that was part of the defensive line controlled by the Knights Templar - Castle of Almourol. The castle is situated in the middle of Tagus River, so the best way to reach the castle is by taking a boat. Finally, enjoy relaxing landscapes and rolling hills on the drive back to Lisbon. Day 05: Farewell to Lisbon This is the day when we see you off to the airport for your journey back/or further travel.
