There are two time options to start your tour: start at 9:00 am and start at 2:00 pm. Our guide will pick you up in front of your hotel or at meeting point. Make sure you didn’t forget to take your camera with you. For your comfort, we use only 8-seat air-conditioned vehicle by Mercedes-Benz. When everybody is on board we ready to move forward. We will break away from Lisbon’s rush and move to calm countryside, place surrounded by beautifully preserved nature where is located amazing Sintra.
Then we’ll carry on our tour and visit the Pena Palace, place where Portuguese Royal family spent its summers. This breathtaking masterpiece based on the highest point of the slope sitting above the shoreline of Lisbon. On your way to palace you pass by the Pena Park is a tremendous forested area totally encompassing the Pena Palace, spreading for more than 200 hectares of uneven territory. You’ll have 1.5 hours to discover the medieval architecture of the National Palace. Construction of palace was completed in 1854 and it has an abundance of styles much in accordance with the exotic taste of Romanticism of the 19th century richly decorated with Moorish and Manueline motifs, which you can find only in Portugal. At the end of the 18th century the implantation of Romanticism by the King D. Fernando II attracts a large number of visitors, becoming a unique cultural center. Enjoy the panoramic look of the quiet peaceful forests and dense gardens covered by exotic plants and flowers. Listen to exciting stories that will make you feel like you have entered into a fairytale in medieval times. In the gardens, you will experience a wonderfully mysterious atmosphere thanks to the surrounding towers with spouts, and glamorously decorated benches and fountains.
We begin the second part of our tour to one of the most astonishing views in whole Portugal – the westernmost point of Continental Europe “Cabo da Roca”. Just imagine – what else could be a better souvenir than a certificate proving that you have reached the very end of the world? After this breathtaking stop, our journey will resume along with the charming beaches of the seaside resort Cascais, including Praia do Guincho, one of the most popular for surfing, windsurfing & kitesurfing. This beach has hosted the World Surfing Championships.
Next stop is absolutely beautiful rock wall with the very dramatic name – Mouth of Hell (Boca do Inferno). This breathtaking chasm located on a cliff seashore close to Cascais will engage you with crashing waves. After viewing the landscape of Mouth of Hell we will stop at the fishing village -Cascais with its lovely harbor full of small fishing boats. This town in the 19th century became favorite summer destination of the European aristocracy and noble families for its idyllic location and a pleasant climate. We have a relaxing walk along the bay of Cascais. Our last stop is your Lisbon accommodation spot. We take you there by A EN6 – Avenida Marginal along the coast, passing by Estoril until Lisbon, admiring the beautiful coast and it’s beaches.
