Belém Tower and Jerónimos Monastery It is here that Lisbon’s most photographed building is found. The Belém tower stands on the shoreline, around 5 km west of the centre of the city. Gulbenkian Museum Northeast of Eduardo VII Park is the Gulbenkian Museum, one of the world’s great museums and one of Europe’s unsung treasures. This is one of the world’s finest private art collections, amassed over a period of 40 years by oil magnate Calouste Gulbenkian, who was one of the 20th century’s wealthiest men.

Cascais One of the things to do in Lisbon is taking a day trip and visit the beach village of Cascais. The town’s charm, located right above surreal looking cliffs with waves breaking against them, is attracting many tourists each year, seeing them stroll or cycle around the cobblestone streets is not uncommon.
