After the pick-up we will start our travel to Fátima, the “center” of Portuguese faith, across the scenic natural landscapes of Midwestern Portugal. During the travel the very well knowledgeable and friendly guide will reveal the secrets of one the most important Catholic shrines in the world.
This became one of the most important Catholic shrines after an apparition of the Virgin Mary to three little shepherds, this occurred 6 times over the course of 5 months, after 3 apparitions of an angel.

Next the tour will continue with a visit to the Convento da Batalha, a majestic monastery classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. This is a Dominican Monastery located in Batalha, district of Leiria. The monastery was originally known as Monastery of Saint Mary of the Victory.
It was erected to commemorate the 1385 Battle of Aljubarrota and served as a burial church of Portuguese royalty, the Aviz dynasty. It took over a century to complete construction. Built with a beautiful Manueline architectural style, a Portuguese special characteristic in the XVI century.
In the small historical center, we will take a break for our lunchtime and will have the opportunity to experience some typical Portuguese dish, traditional in this region.
After this great lunch you’ll head over to one of the most famous seaside resorts in Portugal, Nazaré. This location is famous among surfers and water sports lovers in general, attracting a lot of them with it’s huge waves, reaching over 80ft (24,4m).
You will visit the Nossa Senhora da Nazaré Sanctuary, where is displayed a sculpture of Virgin Mary with Baby Jesus, said to be sculpted by St. Joseph Himself, being repainted decades later by St. Lucas.
In this magical town you will also see several eye-catching colorful boats made by local fishermen, spread through the large sandy beach, witch can be admired from the top of a rock, along with a wonderful view over the ocean.
In this well preserved example of medieval town, encircled by a fortified wall, you will have to taste the sweet cherry liqueur, named Ginja, served in small chocolate cups, and be delighted by the deliciousness of it!
This town as an authentic fairy-tale atmosphere, with its cobbled paths flanking small medieval houses, narrow streets covered by flowerbeds, charming taverns and stores of handcrafted traditional cuisine and products, inviting you to check everything.
After we will spend all day by exploring treasures of Central Portugal, we will return back to your hotel to let you rest after this adventure bomb of unforgettable moments and take a breath.
18:00 Arrival back in Lisbon, return to where you were picked-up.
