LISBON SIGHTSEEING PRIVATE SAILING BOAT TOUR - ITINERARY

Will Pick you up at your hotel in Lisbon. Pick Up at 9:00 on private tour pick up time is flexible, depend on your needs.

1st stop is at the top of the park Edward VII. It is the largest park in the central Lisbon placed on the slope above the historical center. It was named after Britain's Edward VII who visited the city in 1903.

Then we will drive you through the Main Avenue of Lisbon (Avenida da Liberdade) and will pass through the principal square Rossio. We will also stop in front of the Cathedral (Sé de Lisboa) that is the oldest Roman Catholic church in the city.

Our last stop is one of the most characteristic squares standing above the river Tejo with wonderful view over the bridge “25th of April”. It is the spot where people enjoy sound of waves, street musicians and sea smell blowing to the square from the Atlantic ocean.

The boat cruise starts from the Downtown of the city. It will take about 2 hours and during that time we will see the beautiful structure of 2 magnificent bridges built over the river, Unesco listed monuments standing above the river and scenic views over Lisbon.

Then is time for our lunch in unique Belem district. After we experience traditional Portuguese lunch, we can stop at the famous bakery “Pasteis de Belem” for having a special dessert.

Next is the extraordinary monument – the Hieronymites Monastery, remarkable for the Age of Discoveries, the most remarkable period of Portuguese history. It was listed by the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

See how were produced the famous pastries “Pasteis de Belem” in the bakery which started sell this delicious creamy custard as the first. Take an opportunity to taste some and experience its delightful flavor.

Our tour ends in front of the Monument of Discoveries standing on the northern margin of the Tagus River. It is located right at the spot where Portuguese caravels departed the land to explore Orient and begin with the lucrative spice trade.

A bit further we can find one of the most prominent examples of the late Gothic constructions built during the Manueline period. The National Monument was built in the early 1500s and was declared by UNESCO as the World Heritage.
