After the pick-up from your hotel is following the transfer by a private air-conditioned vehicle to Evora. On the way to our destination, we cross the river Tagus by the impressive construction of the bridge Vasco da Gama (with lentgh of over 17km). It is the longest bridge in Europe built in 1998. After a relaxing stroll in the center of Evora listed by Unesco, we visit Gothic church of St. Francis. It´s considered one of the best examples of Manueline period in the Portuguese architecture. Another highligth of the excursion is its Chapel of Bones - the 16th century chapel decorated with bones, skulls, and entire bodies hanging from the wall. Even the inscription at the entrance gate is kind of sarcastic: “We bones that here are, for yours await". Afterwards, we walk to the principal square Praca do Giraldo.
